Autonomic
Communication is open long-term research initiative that is
being shaped by its participants. If your research interests are close
to network-level self-organisation, to new communication paradigms, and
network-side software development, to scalability and
evolvability of the Internet, if you believe in the power of radically
distributed algorithms (and more)
then join the team . Autonomic Communication Forum (ACF) initiative is being founded on the belief that a radical paradigm shift towards a self-organising, self-managing and context-aware autonomous network, considered in a technological, social and economic context, is the only adequate response to the increasingly high complexity and demands now being placed on the Internet.
Project
proposals in the area of Sitiuated and Autonomic
Communications are called by the Proactive Initiative by the
European Commission (FET)
within its 4th Call of FP6. The fallowing instruments are called for:
Integrated projects, Networks of excellence. Download: Call4 Proactive
Initiative text; background
document.Research on network autonomics is gaining momentum: consider paper submissions to the 1st IEEE Workshop on Autonomic Computing and Communication (ACC 2004) the 2nd IFIP Workshop on Autonomic Communication (WAC 2005), check the WAC 2004. |
